We are pleased to share the official programme of the 3D-4CH Winter School 2026. It will take place from 21 to 23 January 2026 at the Art & History Museum in Brussels.
This three-day event is designed for cultural heritage professionals, museum practitioners, researchers, and all those interested in strengthening their knowledge and practical skills in the use of 3D technologies for cultural heritage preservation.
The Winter School combines learning, hands-on practice, knowledge exchange, and networking through lectures, practical workshops, thematic sessions, and discussions with leading European experts in digital cultural heritage.
Programme Overview
Day 1: 21 January (hybrid format: onsite & online (YouTube)).
The first day of the Winter School will focus on setting the scene for 3D in cultural heritage, bringing together policy perspectives, strategic approaches, and real-world project examples.
Participants will take part in keynote presentations and thematic sessions addressing the planning, implementation, and integration of 3D technologies in cultural institutions, supported by best-practice case studies from across Europe.
Days 2-3: 22–23 January (onsite workshops)
The second and third days are dedicated to in-depth practical training. Participants will explore the full lifecycle of 3D projects – from planning and data acquisition to processing, management, and presentation of digital cultural heritage assets.
The workshops provide direct experience with professional tools and methodologies that can be applied in everyday institutional practice.
