ACHIEVE CCS Academy Empowers Ukrainian Women in Creative Industries

В Україні стартувала Академія ACHIEVE CCS для молодих жінок у креативних індустріях

The Volyn Foundation, in partnership with PRO WOMEN UA, organized an intensive online training program for young women pursuing careers in the Cultural and Creative Sectors (CCS). The Academy was held as part of the European ACHIEVE CCS project funded by the Erasmus+ program. It brought together approximately 30 participants across four engaging sessions in October, 2025.

The training was designed to support young women aged 18-30 living in Ukraine who are passionate about fields such as design, music, fashion, art, and related creative areas. Recognizing that many talented individuals lack access to resources, knowledge, or supportive communities, the Academy for Women in CCS provided a comprehensive learning experience in a convenient online format via Zoom.

Curriculum for Career Growth

The Academy covered seven modules that combined theory with hands-on practice:

  1. Introduction to CCS – exploring current trends, challenges, and opportunities in the creative sector.
  2. Negotiation Skills & Conflict Resolution – mastering assertiveness and self-advocacy techniques,
  3. Leadership & Team Management – building confidence to step into leadership roles.
  4. Business & Marketing – learning budgeting, branding, and entrepreneurship fundamentals.
  5. Resilience & Personal Growth – developing strategies to manage stress and strengthen confidence.
  6. Networking, Collaboration & International Opportunities – creating meaningful global connections.
  7. Gender Diversity & Inclusion – practicing allyship and inclusive storytelling.

Each session blended expert-led training, role-playing exercises, mentorship, and real case studies, making the learning experience both practical and inspiring.

Participants benefited from:

  • Interactive workshops led by experts in the field;
  • Mentorship sessions with professionals working in CCS;
  • Peer learning and collaboration opportunities;
  • Real-world projects allowing immediate application of newly acquired skills.

The feedback from participants highlighted the practical value of the training, with many noting that the Academy provided hands-on knowledge directly applicable to their career development in the creative industries.

Upon completion of the training, all participants will receive certificates recognizing their achievement.

The Academy represents a crucial step in the ACHIEVE CCS project’s mission to empower women with stronger leadership, negotiation, communication, and resilience skills while expanding their professional networks across Europe and beyond.
