On January 16-17, 2025, in Lviv, the Volyn Foundation co-organized the workshop “Key Skills for Strategic Partnerships with European Cultural Institutions.” The event was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications, Creative Europe Desk Ukraine, Izolyatsia, Institute of Cultural Strategies, Ukrainian Culture Foundation, ZMIN Foundation, and Culture Action Europe.
This two-day event equipped Ukrainian cultural centers with essential skills for international partnerships, fundraising, strategic planning, and communication. Participants engaged with experts, explored best practices, and mapped potential partners and funding opportunities.
One of the workshop’s highlights was Session 7, Success Stories of Networking, where Anna Danylchuk and Marta Sydoruk from the Volyn Foundation shared real-world examples of effective international collaboration. The Volyn Foundation showcased its role in fostering cross-border partnerships and engaging in transnational projects.
During our presentation, our representatives emphasized the importance of strategic networking and building long-term relationships with international organizations. Through successful collaboration with Culture Action Europe, CARARE, and the Europeana Network Association, they demonstrated how Ukrainian cultural centers can benefit from alliances with European institutions, access new opportunities, and strengthen their presence on the global cultural stage.
The workshop was crucial to aligning Ukrainian cultural institutions with European standards, offering them a structured approach to securing partnerships and funding. By actively participating in this initiative, the Volyn Foundation reaffirms its commitment to promoting international networking, advocating for cultural integration, and supporting Ukraine’s European aspirations.
We thank all participants and partners who contributed to making this workshop successful. We remain dedicated to fostering cross-border cooperation and strengthening cultural diplomacy in the future.
